Biography:

Dr. Goeckeritz graduated from The University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee with his medical degree. He completed his internship training with the Categorical Internal Medicine Department at The Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. Dr. Goeckeritz then spent time as a pathology resident before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at The Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in 1994. In addition, his fellowship training in Rheumatology was completed at The Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC.

Dr. Goeckeritz has been certified by The National Board of Medical Examiners since 1989.
He is also certified with The American Board of Internal Medicine as a Diplomat in Internal Medicine, since 1994, and Rheumatology, since 1997.

Dr. Goeckeritz has professional memberships with the American College of Physicians and the
American Medical Association. He is a Fellow with the American College of Rheumatology.

Dr. Goeckeritz has received several distinguished Military Awards. In 1991, he received the Bronze Star, Operation Desert Storm. In 1999 and 1995, he received the Meritorious Service Medal. In 1998, he was presented with the Joint Service Commendation Medal. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal in 1998, 1997, and 1992. Dr. Goeckeritz was honored with the Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Stars along with the National Defense Service Medal in 1991. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal in 1978 and the Army Service Ribbon in 1975.
